Former Prime Minister of Montenegro Visits Siguan Academy to Discuss China–Montenegro Cooperation and the Belt and Road Initiative


14 September — Mr. Dritan Abazović, the Co-Chair of Europe-China Economic Cooperation and Development Council(ECECDC), and former Prime Minister of Montenegro, visited the Beijing headquarters of Siguan Academy.

During the visit, he held in-depth discussions with Liao Binyu, Founder of Siguan Academy, renowned cultural scholar, and Chairman of the Beijing Silk Road Integration Planning Institute. Representatives of organizations including Causeway Bay Group (Hong Kong) and the Beijing International Chinese College, together with entrepreneur members of Siguan Academy, also attended the meeting. The participants held extensive discussions on cultural exchange, opportunities for China–Montenegro cooperation, and Belt and Road cooperation, reaching broad consensus on future collaboration.

Looking ahead, both sides will focus on establishing an advisory mechanism, facilitating reciprocal business delegations, and advancing concrete cooperation projects. Continued efforts will be made in such fields as cultural exchange, economic and trade cooperation, Chinese language education, and cultural and tourism development, transforming shared consensus into concrete actions, delivering greater benefits to both peoples, and contributing to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
